Antonello Bulgini
Die pulver fabrikation
October 5, 2013
The exhibition brings together a series of paintings by Antonello Bulgini (1960–2011), mostly made in Rome at the end of his German experience.
Antonello Bulgini graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with professors Axel Kassebhömer and Sean Scully.
As Fabrizio Pizzuto, head of the Bulgini Archive, states:
his is a painting that mixes German expressive suggestions, angularity and Mediterranean lyricism, the profound reason for which seems to arise precisely from the mixture of Italian and German culture. In his tributes we find influences of great masters of light who have transformed the figure into emotion and sensation, some bordering on discomfort and anguish.
