is a library conformed by growing collections and archives. Along experimental processes that re-think the book format, editorial practices and shared reading, its activities will be carried out by echoing the typographic tradition of eighteenth-century Livorno with stampa alla macchia and the reading rooms opened by Livornese printers such as Marco Coltellini or Giorgi printing-book center.
(darsi alla macchia is to make oneself untraceable in order to hide. Macchia refers to the dense scrub vegetation consisting of hardy evergreen shrubs and small trees characteristic of Mediterranean coastal regions, a perfect place to disappear)

cabinet de lecture is centered on the shared experience of reading, convinced that knowledge and play, as articulations of the book, are ways to produce shared experience of life, ways to show us how to live together…
